Has the liberal Media even mentioned what Joe Wilson said in the NYTimes
I have yet to hear anything on MSNBC or CNN. Maybe Rove gave them a phone call. In case you didnt hear what Mr. Wilson said you can read below.

Wilson, Washington's envoy to Gabon from 1992 to 1995, told the New York Times and NBC that he traveled to Africa in 2002 at the request of the CIA (news - web sites) to investigate a report about Iraq buying uranium from Niger.

Wilson said he had reported back that it was highly doubtful that any such transaction had ever taken place and that the CIA would have passed on his assessment to Vice President Dick Cheney (news - web sites).

"INTELLIGENCE TWISTED"

Yet Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair (news - web sites) both cited the report earlier this year to support their charges that former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein (news - web sites) was trying to obtain nuclear weapons and to justify their invasion of Iraq in March.

The International Atomic Energy Agency later also dismissed the report as being based on forged documents.

2. They needed a war
And the winner writes the history. Hadn't you heard that?

The world has changed. It used to be that there was land to expand into. Some nations were taking advantage of that and were expanding. Other nations not wanting to be left out of expansion decided that military might would be their means to expand. Thus it was that nations sought to defeat other nations to expand.

Now there is no more space to expand into. The borders have been set. For a time some still attempted to expand via military might but the balance of power had been established and the rest thwarted their attempts to change it.

When USSR fell the balance changed again. Now the US finds itself with no opposition. It is flexing its muscles and finding if it can revert to the old ways. But social expectations have changed. The opposition is now more than just the other countries. The US forces could handle any other military force. But opposition from within is relatively unexpected. These men are thinking from the view of old structures. They do not embrace the new world. They see power and the wish to grab it. Not realising that it is a path back into barbarism.

3. Wilson was on CNN's American Morning today, July 7th...
Wilson essentially repeated what he told Andrea Mitchell on Meet the Press yesterday. He did not back from his earlier assertions.

4. Bush is protected on broadcast media - so NOTHING on Wilson story
Edited on Mon Jul-07-03 12:05 PM by papau
That darn liberal Network Broadcast (ABC, CBS, Fox, UPN, NBC, MSNBC) media is twisting and using story selection to harm our right wing friends - yah - they will even confess that this is true!

Seems CNN limits themselves to only doing Bush critical moments in the AM - but that is better than their friends in the media.

5. This issue is over
in the US. It will likely bring Blair down, but here, it's in the past. Everyone now KNOWS that Bush lied about Saddam's nukes, his ties to Al Queda, his threat to the US, but THEY DON'T CARE.

9. Question
Hey Doctor,

What is your opinion on this?

If Blair is brought down for misleading his country into war...will there or will there not be repurcussions for the Bush administration?
