18. Bush's Culture of HATE is becoming more mainstream

This is just the type of thing that is becoming more acceptable. I read an article about an Ok KKK group that was publicly recruiting and working on gaining political clout. A big segregationist move is happening.

I've also noticed people are becoming more comfortable with HATE speech. ANTI-Muslims, ANTI-Blacks, ANTI-gays, ANTI-foreigners, ANTI-non *Christians*, etc.

It's not a coincidence that HATE GROUPS are on the rise. Bad things are happening here and we should be on alert.

My guess is, that non-whites in general, but Blacks specifically, will be the main target since they are the largest minority group, thus pose the most threat to power. People are feeling desperate to hold onto their power during these stressful times.

Forms of segregation can be insideous or overt. The hate crime groups are overt about claiming their superiority (segregationist attitudes) but this attitude is also seen in more subtle forms such as when people deny a power differential exists to maintain their "superiority."

And interesting "list." You think that the smallest (by numbers) group will be first? That's plausible in that it's easy to destroy a group that is minute in size compared to the oppressor group.

But doesn't it seem that they would want to destroy the oppressed group that poses the most threat first? What oppressed group has the most powerful political voice? (BTW, I don't consider "white liberals" to be all that oppressed at this stage, relative to other groups; we have the Democratic party and LOTS of white liberal power holders). I assume you mean white hetero liberals.

I'm seeing gays and Blacks being heavily attacked. I think it will be gays or Blacks first.

28. My reasoning (or what I think is reasoning)

My prediction: Gays, Arabs, Jews, Handicapped, Blacks, Catholics, Liberals

Think not just in terms of numbers, but in terms of political empowerment and popularity.

Right now, the two most unpopular minorities in the country are gays and Arabs/Muslims (I group them together because most of the public sees them as one in the same).

You can thank Bush for this agenda.

Of all minority groups, gays and middle-easterners have had the sharpest increase in hate crimes against them.

You have anti-gay legislation being passed. Anti-gay amendments in 11 states.

Just about every fundamentalist group would be glad to see the gays sent away for "repairative therapy."

Next, the Arabs and Muslims.

We're already profiling them at airports and rounding them up without charges or access to lawyers. In other words, we already have special camps for them, and those camps are getting full.

One could argue it is already happening to them, and they've beaten the gay people off the starting blocks.

After the gay people, they are wildly unpopular and mistrusted.

Plus, we can conveniently blame them for 9-11.

Or for whatever retaliation we receive after we attack Iran or Syria.

Next, the Jews.

Even though 85% of Jews are in favor of gay rights, I think the number of Jews who feel comfortable around Muslims is probably smaller.

Bush is already spreading the seeds of anti-semitism here at home. For example, they're leaking memos that an "Israeli Spy" might be partially to blame for screwing-up our occupation of Iraq.

And in the catastrophic days after our next war with Iran or Syria-- which is certain to suck Israel into the fight-- you can bet many people here will blame Israel and "The Jews" for it.

This is already happening especially in Europe where tensions over the Palestinian conflict are cited for the dramatic increase in anti-semitic hate crimes.

So, once the Gays, Muslims and Jews are out of the way, who's next?

Presented in no particular order:

The mentally ill
The physically handicapped
Catholics
Black people
Hispanic people
Liberals
Intellectuals (professors, scientists, etc.)
Activists-- starting with the anti-war and environmental activists
Feminists
And various people and organizations that sympathize with any of the above

Eventually, you'll have a country of white people who are:

Southern Baptist
Pentecostal
Evangelical
Scientologist
Unification Church (Unless Moon treads to heavily on Bush's turf).

Those are who Bush has been throwing his money at and have gained his favor.

That is my worst-case formulation of Bush's plans.
