7. Why yes, yes they are!! Whatever they manage to smoke and mirror
themselves into believing... fine by me. They will have to answer for every last word of it one day. The force will tend to it. No problem, let 'em go.

Can you email him and ask "Are rightwingers fascists?" Do it a couple hundred times if you have the time.

11. In therory...what is wrong with Communism?
Human nature seems to corupt any form of government. What is it that makes
Communisim equate evil. ( I just watched Mortor Cycle Diaries. In the movie Che Guvera seemed to have his heart in the right place.)

12. Communism appeals to 3rd world because of family
if you think of it Africa is in a sense largly communist because it still reatins family based culture.

The idea of "we all share and noone owns anything" is nothing new; it's very very old.

SO I think any system will or will not work depending on the level of corruption in those who are charged with implementing it.

16. weird definition of communism you have there
how many people in the US have the option of not working (at the "snap" of fingers or otherwise) and to much of the industrialised world the shit wages millions of Americans work for are just as obscene as anything seen under communism.

Capitalism trusts that the "market" can and will look after all human interests - how likely is that?

17. Communism is a left-wing version of fascism, plain and simple.
The capitalism you describe is one of pure Free-Market standards, the one Bush wants. In reality, capitalism with a conscience (which runs itself in many other industrialized nations and used to run here in the US) works much better than communism. Even though capitalism is a system of consumer culture, communism is a system for people who agree to submit to disregarding being an entrepreneur.

18. well you're putting proviso's on it
Edited on Wed Feb-16-05 01:15 AM by Djinn
capitalism in and of itself doesn't have a conscience, so if you're going to tinker with that why not have "compassionate communism".

BTW - that absolutely LAST thing in the world Bush or any of his nepotistic little cabal want is true free market capitalism

19. Because Capitalism can be molded into how it operates.

Communism has a direct way of being implemented seen by the Soviet Republic. Everything is state run, and everybody is paid by the state.

On Edit: All the same low wage.

24. wrong again
for a start the Soviet Union was no more an example of "pure" Communism than the US is of "pure" capitalism.

Also I'm really not sure where you got the idea that everyone in the Soviet Union was paid the same wage but it's wrong.

The wages in general weren't as high as the US but then agai people had their housing and medical care paid for as well as their children's education - how much do you think the average American spends throughout his lifetime on those things.

I'm not actually a Communist but I'm absolutely not a capitalist either and I think you have some strange ideas about just what Communism as a theory actually is and about how versions of and attempts at Communism actually worked

25. Soviet Union on same level of US? Close, yet not there yet.
Here in the US we still have some economic backbone left. The USSR was a land where everybody fell under one straigtener. Nobody could move forward or backwards. Although it was good to have support, there was not any reason to work or to think up new ideas for the economy, since there was never any reason to work harder. You were always told "Dont worry comrade, the state will do it for you." That is a way of mothering your people, who according to the way this nation was founded, should provide for themselves. Otherwise, whats the reason to excel? You'll never make it.

26. what do you mean "same level"
who said it was - the point being that the Soviet Union did not practice true communism and the US does not (not even close) practice capitalism.

you keep saying that everyone in the USSR was paid the same - that's patently false, that there was no incentive to work harder/invent?? so I'm wondering how the Soviets got into space before the yanks managed it??

21. I love 2005 America
I am, and have been, a member of the Communist Party! Woohoo!

Now come take me away Sean "I'm still living in the 1950's" Hannity! I look forward to the day when he puts me in a camp. Him and Malkin. I want both of them there when I'm in there, so that I can thank them for saving me from myself. I hope they beat me until I realize that I'm wrong. Then when I'm finally cured, we can go to the Fox News studio and have an odd threeway.
