1. That wasn't why she was jailed.
Nice try, though.

6. jailed for the health and well being of our system of justice, long may it
waive. What kind of conspiracy kooks would infer that she was the victim of a constitution devouring oilagarchy?

to be a conduit for the cleric's political ideas to his followers.

It had nothing to do with her client's legal defense. Stewart even laughed and boasted about trying to fool the authorities into believing she was talking about the cleric's legal defense.

7. That's pretty much the jist of it
She signed an agreement with the government that she would not pass messages to his buddies and would not bring people in to visit him for that purpose. All discussions with any visitors were to center around his case only.

She violated that agreement. She admitted she did and her own words in the injunction proved her guilty. Dislike of a law is not an excuse to violate it.

5. A very good explanation of the case and the issues at FindLaw:

This case is part of an "all-out assault on the right to counsel" by the Bush administration.

Defense attorneys who represent alleged terrorists - or even detainees who are merely suspected of some connection to terrorism -- now know that the government may listen in on their attorney-client communications. They also know that this eavesdropping may give rise to evidence that may be used in their own prosecution for terrorism if they cross the imaginary line drawn by the government.
