Advisers aren't highered for their congeniality or even agreeing with the agenda of the politician. They are tacticians and their job is to get the indivdidual elected. It is a very nasty business and assholedom is required.

6. I have to see his ugly mug every week on the editorial

page of my paper. His columns are filled with hate for Bill and especially for Hillary. Then he has the guts to say at the end of his column that he was an advisor to Bill Clinton for 20 years.
