All the corporate media OWNERS are right-wing conservatives.

But even if there *are* liberals high up in media circles, let's turn to one well-known high-ranking CBS liberal for an example of how that's irrelevant:

"I look at the election from what's good for Viacom. I vote for what's good for Viacom. I vote, today, Viacom. I don't want to denigrate Kerry, but from a Viacom standpoint, the election of a Republican administration is a better deal. Because the Republican administration has stood for many things we believe in, deregulation and so on. The Democrats are not bad people. . . . But from a Viacom standpoint, we believe the election of a Republican administration is better for our company." -- Sumner Redstone, Chairman of CBS

9. CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, ....
virtually ALL National Networks are OWNED by For Profit MegaCorps.

http://www.netreach.net/~kaufman/network.ownership.html

While many do not have Direct Ist Degree links to the Republican Party, their corporate interests are advanced by the Republican Party, and the Corporate Profits are recycled to the Republican Party through Campaign Contributions and lobbying. To be fair, some Democrats are on the Corporate TIT, thus the Media Giants were able to seduce Bill Clinton into supporting Media Consolidation and deregulation.

Some of these networks DO use Direct Editorial Guidelines(Fox) to shape their content. ALL have wink wink guidelines to control the message. A spokesman who advocates Socializing Media, or a return to the Fairness Doctrine won't last long within the Corporate Structure. To advance inside a Corporate Structure,
you must be a Team Player.

And now, even PBS has fallen under the thumb of For Profit Corporatism.
