My brother the koolaid drinker...
I sent my brother, yesterday, a copy of that link for the petition for voter reform, sponsored by Clinton and Boxer.
He came back with a venomous attack against Clinton. Bringing up Whitewater.

Fine, I said to myself, he's my brother, I love him and regardless of how bizarre his obsession is with the Clinton's and Whitewater, I will respect his opinion and move on.

Now my brother is a very intelligent person, I knew he had republican leanings, but I never really discussed politics with him. We always kept our lines drawn and respected each other in a unsaid way about this.

After his bizarre reply, I was saddened, because it showed him to be just one more person that is duped by the repuke line of bullshit and, more so, how he like the rest of the repukes are just so angry about whitewater. I just don't get it? They are pissed off over something that was never proven, even by that bastard headline stealing Starr. Yet, they sort of gloss over the S & L scandal that basically screwed over a gigantic portion of the US population.

After reading his letter, I thought, well, I could cut him off at the knees, but I chose to respect his opinion, not agree with it (as I stated in the letter) but never the less, respect it.
I did say, at least the Voter Reform Bill sponsored by the two senators was a step in the right direction and at least they were doing something.
I have yet to receive a reply. I don't think I will get one, but that is okay too.

I just needed to get this off my chest because I was just so taken aback by his reply.

It's a wondrous thing to find a member of ones own family so completely taken in by lies. This is proof of how people who are force fed news from the various pseudo news networks, react.

They don't care for the good of the country, they only have their personal partisan axes to grind. Weird. Like Bill Mahr(sp) said on NPR this week, "I have never in my life seen a bunch of sore winners, like I have with the repubicans".

1. I would still suggest that he reads The Hunting of the President or....
....The Clinton Wars for a, uhm, different perspective that he might not have gotten from the MSM.

I don't get it.

and how does Whitewater compare to any of GWB's scandals?

say, for example, this one:

5. I think it is also in part that Clinton was undeniably popular
They have a passionate need to believe that they represent the real America and that all real Americans are Conservative Republicans--thus it is frusterating when the Americans they claim to champion love and support a man like Bill Clinton who, while really pretty moderate, gave the impression of being a 60's style liberal.

7. One more time.
The prosecutor who took over from Starr issued a statement that Clinton had been exonerated of any accusations in the affair. This was not just that they didn't find anything; it was that they found there was nothing.
