Folks, let's clear this up: There was no prostitution involved with Gannon
I gleefully rejoiced that the fucker has been shot down but there is no proof of prostition involved. Let's not lower ourselves to their standards please. We know websites were REGISTERED! We also know he posted a pretty sexually suggestive picture of himself on AOL. But we have no proof, no record no witness to actually prostitution.

What we have is a gay man who used the interent to cruise for men. Nothing new here - men, women, gay & straight have been doing this since the internets were first invented by Al Gore (I know, I know).

Plus, as an FYI, escort services are NOT uncommon. Pick up the City Paper or even the upscale Philadelphia Magazine and there are countless ads for Escort services. These services technically do not provide sex (yeah, I know - but that's what the owners would say).

I joyfully gloat in the fact that this anti-gay homosexual basher is actually gay (although I feel bad for all my gay friends who now recognize he's one of them). But let's keep the story straight and not extrapolate from there.

Should sound proof of actually selling of men for sex is posted I'll be the first person to retract this statement. But it hasn't. We have better dirt on the guy than trumped up charges of prostition

1. This is the 21st century. The allegations are out there
It;s now up to Guckert to prove his innocence.

I didn't make these standards. The 21st century media did.

24. We don't--and I think there WAS some illegal activity going on
Why register domain names, and then have them set up so you need a USER ID AND PASSWORD to get into them, if they aren't BEING USED? You can launch into a big argument about selective prosecution, and that's a valid argument, but this is a guy who has lied, lied, lied, and recently claimed to be washed in the blood of Jesus (after previously claiming to be a two holiday Xtian). So, we've established that he lies--about his religious fervor, his name, what else????

Perhaps it is a VERY EXCLUSIVE site, only open to say, ADMINISTRATION OFFICIALS and GOP reporters and big money contributors???? Not all on the web is public, your bank accounts certainly aren't.

No matter how you spin it, Little Loosey Guckert got some 'splainin' to do. His VERY ACTIONS invite, no DEMAND, that questions be asked and answered. You won't get those questions from Leslie Blitzer, though....

If it looks like a duck, you can't say, awwww, stop making mean ole accusations, it's just a camel. I hear quacking!!! And it's coming from Underwear Boy!!!

30. Well, how about lying about being a journalist, using a fake name
for starters? Can you even imagine what would be happening now, including Rush making fun of Gannon for crying, if this had been a Clinton plant in the WH press room? Get a grip people! This is not merely a "liberal gone wild" story. This is serious shit and the people who are trying to re-frame, and re-focus the issue on the messenger, are shameful media whores. The same ones who have the blood of 1500 US soldiers and thousands of Iraqi civilians on their hands because they refused to be real journalists and rolled over for this lying, evil administration.

If we don't stick to our guns now, when?
If the Dems in Congress don't have enough integrity to investigate this thoroughly what good are they? This administration practices dirty trick, sensorship, phony press conferences, and phone event from coast to coast, shutting out legitimate journalists and oppositon citizens with legitimate questions for the President. This is not democracy, this is not America, this is another world and we NEED TO GET THE HELL OFF and start the trip back to our country by fighting back!

7. AMEN... the time for "fairplay" passed eons ago..
The Clintons were forced to prove negatives for at least 9 years, and so is every other "public" person.. Why is he any different?? He wanted publicity.. he got it :)

8. How do you explain
his being kicked out of the priesthood?

Of course, I made that up on the spot, but in today's complex society, a rumor twice repeated becomes accepted as hard fact. And just maybe the church is covering it up!

The Pope is ill; Deep Throat may soon be revealed. This is too much! We're on to something, and even if it is as much a lie as the WMDs in Iraq, I feel the nation must be warned.

25. We could also be hurting our own credibility.
THAT should make us move calmly and carefully through what has all the earmarks of a Rovian mine field. When we smell blood and start a feeding frenzy, we do run the risk of biting ourselves in the arse.

Remember RatherGate? How can you not be concerned about a reprise of that, especially considering the players? When we are onto something, Rove just throws enough bait for us to go wee bit too far and then the whole case looks like we are the perpetrators of a smear instead of what it really is. His flunkies get off the hook and we loose a little more credibility.

We need to just stick to what is fact and leave innuendo to FAUX. they do it better anyway. This is too damned important to risk having it written off as 'another liberal witch hunt' if we take fake bait.

in his tighty whiteys and a dogtag. But there's absolutely no evidence he's a prostitute.

20. "escort m4m"...... any gay man advertising that is not 'cruising for men'
He's cruising for cash. You're right, no witness of actual prostitution (yet).... But what does "possession of narcotics with the INTENT to distribute" mean to you? People are convicted of that all the time without the police actually having seen a deal made.

HotMiltaryEscortsM4M says a mouthful for me. Especially by someone claiming all this persecution and martyrdom and stalking.

tricks for speedballs. He claims that he only built pornographic websites.

The truth is somewhere in between. So the question is, "did Jeff Gannon just whore on the streets, or did he also whore inside the White House?".

(Thank you Fox News! This is actually sort of fun once you get the hang of it!)

28. HA hahahahahaha! You are too clever!
Fox really is good at that, aren't they? Develop a line of continuum, from the innocent scenario to the totally obscene, and then plop out the question, like a turd on the carpet: Is the truth somewhere IN BETWEEN?

They are masters of smear by innuendo. It's a great way to avoid prosecution while getting your point across. Funny how some develop a major case of outrage when these very techniques are ju-jitsued against them!

29. A couple of things I will add: If any gay man knows more about "Gannon"
than we know..and it is something that can bring down Bush.. They are traitor to their community, Their Freedom, and America if they are keeping it secret even if it involves "friends". We should be truthful yes.. but we should not shy away from discussing "Gannon's" sex life. It is news and we are homophobic if we have doubts about trying to get more information on Gannon. We played nice and we are short two Senate seats right now for doing that.
