One thing that I have noticed in the MSM articles about Gannon is references to blogger sites such as KOS and others. I consider this "free publicity". When these sites and others like "Truthout/FYI" pop up - more people will find the real media - like I did recently!

He will likely fail, not because of his journalistic credentials (he's got 'em, plus he's really, really good) but because the explanation from Scott McClellen is, well, bullshit.

So, I think we need to recruit a number, even a number running into the 20s or 30s, of journalists applying for passes. It is pretty damning if all of them are refused but a "journalist" from an online agency is able to get one four days after his company, Talon News, is established.

If any of these folks do get passes, then it's a wonderful thing, but I really don't think any of them will. This smells an awful lot like a half assed coverup by the WH via McClellen.

Will: if you are able to try for this, it will be a very powerful statement, regardless of the outcome. If they deny you, it questions how a relative lightweight like Guckert got his pass and therein lies your next article. If they admit you, it also questions how just some blogger* can get a pass and therein lies your next article.
