3. DEMAND AN INVESTIGATION OF THIS SLEAZEBAG! Sign the petition

To: George W. Bush, Alberto Gonzales, Congress, and the Media

We demand the appointment of a Special Prosecutor to investigate the "journalist" using the pseudonym "Jeff Gannon" (James Dale Guckert) who attended daily press briefings at the White House and was regularly called upon by Scott McClellan.

Obviously "Jeff Gannon" is not a bona fide journalist and should never have been given White House press credentials.

In 2003, top White House officials gave "Jeff Gannon" exclusive access to an internal CIA memo that named Joseph Wilson's wife, Valerie Plame, as a covert CIA agent.

It is obvious that there was a conspiracy between "Gannon," McClellan, and other top White House officials to run "smear" campaigns against White House "enemies" and to interfere with tough questions by real White House reporters. This is unacceptable in a Democracy.

In addition, "Jeff Gannon" may have dabbled in male prostitution rings (through registration of sites like Hotmilitarystud.com, Militaryescorts.com, and Militaryescortsm4m.com) which raises the possibility he was bringing male prostitutes into the White House or other institutions of our government.

These issues go infinitely beyond the charges involving Monica Lewinsky and therefore demand immediate investigation and prosecution.

Sign the petition and spread the word!

11. We miss our friends and they're here at The Pig Farm, e.g. The Gannons
<snip>

THE PRESIDENT: I guess they don't know what it's like to be the President. (Laughter.) I get plenty of quality time with a lot of really good people. Sometimes, it's important to just get away as well.

Plus, you know, one of the things we miss in Washington is our friends. And they're here. We've got the Weisses here, the Gannons are here, Pam Nelson is here. And we find it really relaxing to sit down on the porch with our buddies and just shoot the breeze. And, you know, it's amazing. You don't have to defend any policy you make. I mean, your friends are your friends. These people were friends of mine before I became President, they'll be friends of mine after I'm the President. And people just take you for what you are.

So, Gannon was at The Crawford Pigfarm as a GUEST and a FRIEND!

Bush was hosting sleep-over parties for gay prostitutes?

18. The Gannons AND Condi (plus Scalia = orgy)
Q You've done some work out of here. Has it been more difficult to work out of here or --

THE PRESIDENT: No, it's just the same. You know, when you pick up the phone and you call de la Rua to talk to him about Argentina, it's -- it may be a different hookup, but it's the same voice.
Yesterday -- as a matter of fact, in some ways, this place is better for work. Yesterday, we spent -- well, they arrived at 10:00 a.m. It took a while to get the press conference. We got back here at about 11:30 a.m. and met until 5:15 p.m. I think they left. That's the longest meeting I've had in a long time, on a very important subject. And so it gave us a chance to sit back and relax. It was a much less hectic schedule.
Therefore, we had a good chance to talk about a really important subject, which is our military strategies. And so in some ways, it lets -- this place allows for more in-depth discussions. Condi and I spend a lot of time just sitting around visiting about our foreign policy matters.

6. What they knew and when they knew it.
McClellan admitted today that he knew that "Jeff Gannon" was not the reporter's real name. Yet at numerous televised press briefings he addressed him as "Jeff."

Senator Frank Lautenberg today asked McClellan to immediately release all documents related to what the White House knew about "Gannon," and when they knew it.

7. Another KICK
Below is just a sample of Gannon/Guckert in action at a 2004 White House press briefing. Bush's press secretary Scott McClellan was, as the Washington Post's Dan Froomkin put it: "getting hammered with questions about the 9/11 commission and the possible inappropriate juxtaposition of a visit to a 9/11 memorial with a fundraiser." And then along comes white night Jeff Gannon with administration-blessed access:

McClellan: "Go ahead, Jeff."
Gannon: "Thank you. First of all, I hope the grand jury didn't force you to turn over the wedding card I sent to you and your wife. (Laughter.) Do you see any hypocrisy in the controversy about the President's mention of 9/11 in his ads, when Democratic icon Franklin Delano Roosevelt's campaign issued this button, that says, 'Remember Pearl Harbor'? I have a visual aid for folks watching at home."
McClellan: "You're pointing out some historical facts. Obviously, Pearl Harbor was a defining moment back in the period of World War II, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt was strongly committed to winning World War II and talked about it frequently."
Gannon: "So you think it certainly is valid that the President does talk about it and --"
