Poll question: How would you rate your state's governor?
Mine's Bill Richardson. I'd give him a B-. Pretty good, but not great.

10. Codey's my hero.
Irate Codey blasts radio shock jock
Post-partum remarks spur clash
Wednesday, January 26, 2005
BY JOSH MARGOLIN AND DEBORAH HOWLETT
Star-Ledger Staff

In a heated, face-to-face confrontation, acting Gov. Richard Codey and a radio personality clashed last night over comments the shock jock made about first lady Mary Jo Codey's well-publicized battle with postpartum depression.

"I wish I weren't governor, I'd take you out," Codey said to NJ 101.5 radio host Craig Carton in a hallway at the station's studios.

Coming nearly nose to nose with Codey, Carton responded: "That's real professional. You want to fight?"

With the pair shouting at each other, members of Codey's security detail began moving in, though they did not step between the two. Carton then left the station, saying he had an appointment to keep.

;)

I've always found him to be a bit of a power tripper, though doubtless I'm influenced by the hateful bastards who swarm around here in Republican Hell (San Juan County). I've met him and found him, personally, to be very nice, even if we don't see eye to eye on everything. Still, better him than John Sanchez.

OTOH, have any movie crews found their way here yet?

He's been in power a month and he's already cutting people from medical programs: a death sentence to many living with AIDS. Although I'm not surprised anymore, this is what Republicans enjoy doing when they get elected and it's the same all over the place.

I was not impressed with Gov. Ehrlich blacklisting 2 Baltimore Sun reporters, and he just doesn't seem like a problem solver, I still can't figure out why we don't have slots by now, especially when we need the money so desperately here in Baltimore City for education.

in public on his Father-in-Law. That put his wife in an embarrassing situation. The FIL was part owner in a landfill where a cousin of Blagojevich was supposedly allowing illegal dumping. The Governor shut down the landfill :7...which was a GOOD thing, but I felt sorry for his wife. That's why he gets an A A-. Otherwise he's been GREAT!

on edit...Rod's FIL is responsible for getting him into politics. Now, they hate each other. ;) Just a little Illinois politics. ;)
