Remember that faux woman reporter from last year?
She was doing reports on policy for the administration and really worked for a some sort of media/communications/advertising firm? Wonder if there is one person assigned to hire talent of this type for the RNC/WH?

1. This is more than just a few isolated 'bad apples'...
I think this shows once again a concerted effort by this admin. to use propaganda puppets within the media. With the trifecta in place at the Federal govt level, the media is the only hope for checks-and-balances. Hopefully the blogs will continue to be the cutting edge media source because MSM is failing miserably.

2. It's been well known that PR firms were hired by
the for profit health industry during the time that the Clintons tried to get national health care passed to discredit it by spreading lies and half-truths about the Canadian system and systems in other countries. (There was an arcticle exposing this in the LA Times, but since that was over a decade ago, I can't provide a link, so I guess you can call this hearsay and take from it what you like.)They were so successful that a program that had a 70% approval and was the reason many voted for Clinton dropped to less than 50% approval because of the propaganda and scare tactics they used.

The reason for using ad agencies and PR firms is because those corporations can claim that they had nothing to do with it. Inserting the middle man lets them wash their hands of any blame. I think you will find that the same tactics are in play with the Bush administration.

People, you are being marketed to by a very slick industry.

3. Randi Rhodes has been hammering away on the
marketing of the RW agenda for months now.

They may claim they have no control over content, but the do. They are buying a product and the product won't get out there with out input into the design and approval of content. They need to be called on it.

4. You say "People, you are being marketed to by a very slick industry".
I think you mean a very "sick" industry.
