Residents Tear Down War Protest Display
SACRAMENTO -- Some Sacramento residents are reacting with outrage over a homeowner's controversial war protest in Land Park. When they saw the American soldier display, they decided to do something about it. FOX40 cameras captured the incidents as they happened.

Right wing , fascist , jack booted, thugs strike another blow against freedom, the First Amendment and our Constitution. To those who whine we refer to the right extremists as Nazi's and Fascists here is more proof that you are wrong.

I hope these criminals get arrested and jailed.

3. "Because you can't, hey our soldiers are there dying for us
so we can have freedom for our own good, that's just wrong"

Since when? Those soldiers aren't dying for your freedom dumbass, there is not now and never was anything in Iraq jeapordizing your freedom. The danger to your freedom resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

4. At least they support free speech

(so long as it's done in private inside so nobody can see/hear it).

Once it's in public, it's gone too far, even if it's on private property because other people have no choice to be exposed to it.

That makes sense.

And by the way, these rules do not apply to prayers at government funded events on public property.

5. Fox sucks--This one gives both sides
http://www.sacbee.com/content/news/story/12291773p-13155557c.html

This is a better balanced article.

I would've had the jerk arrested for coming onto my private property and screwing with my freedom of speech.

6. Brainwashed RW'ers for you...
Anyone who can possibly defend what the trespassers did to that couple's free speech is either deluded or extremely dangerous, or both. Even in my diehard dittohead Repub days I would never have defended the silencing of another's viewpoint...I always believed in the sacrosanct nature of free expression. And in this case I agree with the sentiment expressed by the Pearcys' effigy display...it wasn't anti-soldier at all but illustrative of the reprehensible waste of the lives of our kids perpetrated by the Bush maladministration.

Whatever happened to Voltaire's "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."?

7. Thanks for this perspective
and Thank God for the neighbor, Ann. She gets it!

"One neighbor said she was more worried by people trespassing than by any protests. Ann, who declined to give her last name for fear of retribution, said her son is an Army convoy driver who recently returned from Iraq.

"I don't necessarily agree with everything (Pearcy) puts up there, but it's his right," she said."
