Brainwashing complete: Out-of-work CSPAN caller defends rich
Edited on Thu Feb-10-05 09:15 AM by prolesunited
An example of how strong the kool-aid is:

A CSPAN caller was defending the tax cuts for the rich, saying they should be treated like everyone else, that it's their money, blah, blah, blah

The host then asks him if he was rich. The caller says he's not and in fact, just got laid off. The host asks him how is prospects are and the caller says not very good.

But, he makes sure to note that he doesn't blame Bush. It's the fault of the terrorism attacks and the stock market fall. But, he concludes: "I don't blame Bush."

I wonder what it will take for this poor sap to wake up?

2. I heard that...
still shaking my head. Let us all now say a prayer for the rich, for their suffering knows no bounds.

3. Maybe going to the local food pantry
and begging for a box of Mac'n'cheese would help.

Maybe having a collection agency on his butt for an emergency room bill where he had to go for cold symptoms because no other doctor would see him.

?

I am clueless about Republicans at this point; I would have thought that they would have wanted Shrub thrown out of office for lying about the war, and wasting their money...but, apparently not.

16. Maybe calling up the local homeless shelter....
...and asking if they've got a cot for that evening. Because that is the natural progression of things in your scenario.

And if the Repubs haven't caught on by now...chances are they ain't going to.

4. Good little drone.
I'm sure with more encouragement and devotion from dipshits like that, the rich will be reopening the work houses soon. The good news is, with 20 hour work days, ignoramuses like this gentleman won't have time to call into CSPAN.

5. Nothing will work.
I tuned in to cspan for a moment (right before rep. Jackson) and caught that idiot's comment. He also said that if Condi Roach ran for pres in 2008, he'd vote for her. There is, in my opinion, no way to reach those who are so imbedded in their illness that they can't expose themselves to the cure. You have to have a desire for the truth. The truth won't just come up and knock you over.

8. It's a cult, it's a cult, it's a cult, it's a cult...
Today's GOP and their Faux news-fed minions are nothing more than a cult, plain and simple.

Their stunning delusion, their blind worship of a mortal man, their endless ability to explain away the most basic and obvious of facts that damage their worldview, their excusal of egregious behavior by their leaders, etc etc.

look up cult behavior online. It is truly breathtaking and eye-opening and will put a lot of these "how can they be so stupid" questions to rest.

It's gone from people voting against their own interests to actually advocating against their own interests. Very sad indeed.

12. Total belief that they will one day be rich
it's the new American dream, that one day you or you kids will be rich. The sad part is that they'll almost certainly never be rich enough to be part of the ruling class. I know people who are like this, it's sad that they have a good life, but they don't appreciate it because they're obsessed with being 'rich'

13. PHOTO: Purple Heart revoked, VA benefits cut off for badly injured Marine
Edited on Thu Feb-10-05 11:47 AM by diamond14
these people don't get it either....

the vehicle rolled off the highway in Iraq....bush* also cuts out the troops who died from helicopter crashes (accidents, you know, not combat casualties)....

And then today a Marine learns he has to give back the Purple Heart he was awarded because his crushed pelvis and legs were from an American accident, not an enemy wound. He’ll also learn that Bush’s new budget cuts benefits for non-combat wounded Vets (20% of all Vets), doubling wounded vets’ drug co-payments and creating an annual fee.

OUR Soldiers are just CANNON FODDER and PHOTO-OPS for bush*....where's the OUTRAGE? there is none...

14. Another flag-waving zombie
who voted for Bush* against his own best interests. What will it take for these people to wake up? Draft them and their kids? Foreclosure? Lose all of their 401(k) money? Being laid off with no option but to work at Starbucks?

17. Sad. Very sad.
I think many of the Repugs are too personally vested in believing that * is a good man that they can't use critical thinking skills and apply them to the past 4 years * has run the country into the ground. They seem unable to hold * responsible for anything... In fact, they actively look the other way when anything critical comes up.

Maybe they are afraid to accept that we were all right and they were just wrong?

Might as well ask what it would take a Nazi in 1936 to "wake up" to the truth about their Godly and Noble Fuehrer.
