The radical right is looking for any excuse to further their agenda. Sex scandals are just a smoke and mirror campaign to manipulate moderate Americans. Hell, you could catch Bush himself on tape molesting a 10 year old boy, and it wouldn't dislodge the fuq'r.

7. Maybe not the Whole Iceberg

It's a possibility that some yet-to-be-fully-comprehended aspect of the Gannon scandal will lead to developments in the Plame issue. Other than that, I see this as nothing more than a story which evokes righteous indignation in Democrats, allows Republicans equivocate and create more dubious moral exceptions to apply to their own, and falls to the ground quietly upon exposure to a mainstream media more preoccupied with shiny things.

Long gone are the days when journalism acted as a vessel for the common man's outrage. Inanity after inanity, like so much industrial pollution, billowing forth from this administration, and none of our fourth estate seem to have their smoke detectors armed.
