Did anyone see the blurb about Dean in the Parade pullout
section of the paper yesterday? First, my disclaimer: I am a Dean supporter, but I also like Kerry. Now, the info. The question essentially was:

Q. Do you think Howard Dean is too liberal to appeal to mainstream America?

And the answer, which completely infuriated me because they cited no reasons, just gave the answer as some holy truth, was:

A. Yes, Dean is too liberal even for most of the Democratic delegates to the conventions.

That was it, just that blurb. I'd like to find out who the editor is, and how they formed their opinion. Obviously, this is not a reputable political publication, but this was an important piece in that it completely tarred Dean as an extreme left liberal to a demographic that might not follow politics. Anyone else see this/any thoughts?

1. I've tried to find the archive on Parade but it ain't up yet,,,
Fucking Walter Scott is a repuke big time! He also said that Dean has Anger problems and that may be a prob for him....

You know... I occasionally glance at that section for the latest gossip but old Scott can't fucking help himself... He's just like sweet old Paul Harvey!

"Walter Scott" isn't a real person, and the guy who writes it is a Pubbie....

3. That's just laughable.
It really is. Look at it this way: the primaries haven't even started their full swing and already they're talking about Howard Dean.

4. Yes, most everyone saw it
:puke: and puked.

Parade is crapola. That "genius" Marilyn vos Savant can be annoying at times too.

5. A little Googling on her
reveals some interesting facts....

Of course I always wondered why someone so smart is answering grade school word problems in a free Sunday pullout mag instead of like curing diseases or whatnot.

6. That shitty little fishwrap...

I'll never forget about a year or two ago, they had a "question" from someone regarding Chelsea at some nightclub, and if she's "partying" too much or something to that effect. The answer was along the lines of "some say she's out quite a bit. But of course, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree".

Well, I think a lot of people called them on this horseshit, because something the drunk twins had done was circulating at the same time, and of course, no mention of it.

So the next week, the rag put a full scale apology on the page and tried to spin their earlier answer into something flattering.

WHORES!

>>on edit:

I have to wonder how genuine some of their questions are. Give me a break - someone actually wrote "is Dean too liberal?" That smells to me, people. Can anyone say "set-up"

7. Yes, I saw this fine bit of objective "journalism"
You are right, the editor gave absolutely no evidence of Dean's beliefs.
