I have not seen any benefits from the socalled Bush tax cuts this year.

Last week I turned in all my income data to my accountant for tax preparation and asked him how much of a refund I can expect. He piddled around with his calculator and gave me the bad news. I will owe money! How much, he is going to tell me in the next two weeks.

Our family is in the upper middle income level with both me and my wife working.We have three children in College and two reaching that age.We were hoping that the tax cuts would benefit people like us trying to educate our children but no such luck.

Does anybody still believe in supply side economics in this country? So why support tax cuts that don't do anything?

will be all over our taxes this year to make up for all the giveaways for the rich , god forbid if we make a little mistake on our claims if you are one of the poor ,who needs every nickle to make both ends meet

5. We are going to get SLAMMED this year, I know it.

We, too, both work because we HAVE to. Our oldest daughter is in college, and due to a move, we're going to have to pay out-of-state tuition for the next three years. So, I'm in a pickle. The more I work, the more I get paid (I get paid per visit, and I make a LOT of visits), but the more I get paid, the closer we come to the Alternative Minimum Tax. This will kills us, since we live in a very high tax state.
