7. I never thought he would run. In fact, I thought one of the reasons
Bush picked him as running mate back in 2000 was so that, if he was elected to two terms, he could "appoint" his successor as GOP nominee.

And the pubs know it; he's too intelligent, and that doesn't play well among red-state voters. They like good ol' boys who talk like nascar drivers. They'll get another simple-minded bible thumper that they can manipulate. You watch.
