Poll question: If the 2008 primaries came down to Gore and Hillary, who would you back?
I'm definately going with Gore. Not only is he more electable, but he's also spoken out a lot more against the Bushit over these years.

3. Gore
Definitely Gore. Hillary's got the well known baggage and also, when we finally do have a woman at the top of the ticket, I'd hope it would be one who hadn't already been first lady.

4. I'm sorry. THIS scenario is delusional...
Neither of them have been on the front line of ANYTHING for a very long time! I don't even see how they can even manage to make it to the primary level!

14. Agreed....pure mental masturbation
However, I voted Gore. For whatever reason I prefer someone who won't
claim what is theirs to someone who'll claim that which isn't.

Sniff....sniff, do I smell the pink tutu democrat in me or the refusal to be a rethuglican.

The real issue here is Corporate americas' use of the so called free press in renouncing the vision of FDR and the populist movement. Both Gore and Hillary are complicit. They can both kiss my ass.

7. For the 99th time..
... I have as much chance of winning the presidency as Hillary Clinton does. NY is not representative of the nation, and the RW shit machine would go into hyperdrive were she nominated.

I sure hope she doesn't have her heart set on that because in addition to the fact that she could never get elected because of her (not all justified) baggage, she's done absolutely nothing to deserve it either.

8. I agree completely
I don't understand how anyone can not see how much of a disaster a candidacy by her would be.

10. election will be stolen by the repubs...since dems are doing nothing
at this time to prevent that probability.

the repubs have staged a coup in California, ousting the democrat governor, ousting the democrat secretary of state thru bush administration investigations.

15. Neither.
I'd probably back the Socialist Candidate or the Green candidate before I'd back either of those two.

I'm working inside the Dem party to get a focus on WINNING candidates, not more of the same old stuff. If that lesson can't be learned then I'll have to abandon ship because I don't think our nation can take more GOP domination.

I'm not jumping on you, personally, (or anyone on here) but the Dem party has GOT to look for some new blood if we ever want to advance. Part of our problem had been lackluster candidates (and by that I mean people without appeal to the general public.)

Bill Clinton was elected twice-and part of the reason for that was he was running smart campaigns and he was attractive with his message and demeanor. I don't mean to lessen Mrs. Clinton--but that IS how she is seen by most of the nation. She's part and parcel of the Clinton era, and as much as we liked it, it ain't getting re-elected.

Gore is another whole discussion...
