On the backs of the poor: The Bush budget
Edited on Sun Feb-06-05 09:40 AM by soupkitchen
Well, now we have it. The true face of conservative compassion.
Tax cuts for the rich and budget cuts for the poor.
If Democrats can't make political capital out of this, if they can't rise up in one voice and make it clear that it is immoral for the self-righteous to build their Mc Mansions and la, la land country club lifestyles on the backs of the poor, we're in bigger trouble than I thought.

1. We saw this 4 years ago and I guess since all those ----
people voted for Bush he feels it is a good plan. It will be interesting to see how these new plans play out when they are up to who comes up for the vote next year.Which Sen. will be voted on? Any one got a list? My but my English is bad on that.

4. Ted Kennedy on MTP just said that 1/3 of the Tax Cuts for the RICH
that the neoCONs wanna make PERMANENT, would cover the SS short fall for decades to come.

of course Russert didn't like that answer

we are coming back... those in positions of power, who understand now that POPULISM is their ONLY hope of beating the reTHUGs on the playing field that they, the reTHUGs, created are going to take full advantage of that fact and the reTHUGs are gonna rue the day that they brought POPULISM back to mainstream American politics with all their corny sound-bytes because those who are truly on the side of weTHEpeople are gonna kick their asses up and down the airwaves with it :bounce:

peace

5. "bigger trouble than i thought"- dude wait until
there whole gig gets into full swing-aint seen nothing yet---and the beauty of it is,from there perspective obviously, is that the media wont reveal what's going down. When we have truely arrived at full facism it will be too late to do anything. Indeed bigger trouble than i thought. Dont it always seem to go you dont know what you got til its gone.
