Bob Schieffer - Not a good choice!
Edited on Sun Feb-06-05 02:20 AM by springhill
Isn't he a good friend of the Bush family? It seems as though there were many other choices out there without the conflict of interest.
I forgot to say, just in case you weren't aware, that he is the new anchor of CBS news, taking over for Dan Rather.

1. Schieffer is the TEMPORARY fill-in
he's also Dan Rather's best friend.

2. A reward for those softball Qs he gave in the debate, no doubt.
He's a golfing buddy of the Bushes. This is terrible.

3. It seems that EVERYBODY in the mainstream media
is a good friend of the BFEE.

Who needs "censorship" when the media and the Bushies all belong to the same club?

Like AmPol so beautifully says, "Flush twice, it's a long way to Sally Quinn's place."

4. I think I'd like to see Anderson Cooper get the job...
And if they paired him with Lara Logan... well that would be even better.

7. Bob Schieffer and Chris Matthews BOTH have brothers with stong Bush ties.
Mediawhores.

I will never forget when Bob Schieffer said the day after the Gore-Bush debate on foreign policy that "...Bush showed he knows easily as much as Gore...".

What a fucking LIE!

9. They count on the public not knowing women in Iraq were educated and free
to walk in regular street clothes and hold professional jobs. It was a SECULAR country for all its other faults.

You will soon see more burqas, though, within the next couple of years. Thankyou, George Bush.
