"Mosh" came up on my iPod for the 1st time since...
I wanted to share this:

I was driving down the road this evening,
coming back home to my kids after visiting
my sister who lives one town over. It was
a pleasant Saturday here in W. Mass, unseasonably
warm (about 55!) with beautiful blue skies and
bright white snow covering everything -making the
place look like it must have looked a century ago.
Anyway that's how it feels to me. I was feeling good.
Then, "Mosh" by Eminem came on and it hit me like a low blow to the groin. I was totally unprepared and my reaction was strong. I swear I just felt overcome with disgust and horror at how things have turned out in contrast to the pure optimism I felt when that tune came out. Damn, it FELT right! We WERE going to fucking win! I feel like a character from some time travel novel who realizes that he is a time stream that SHOULD NOT have happened and is somehow the wrong one.
Anyway, when that song came on...
I swear I drove the whole way home with my hand clutched over my mouth in horror. Can anyone understand how I felt? Please tell me you can. What horrible, horrible times for us (U.S?). What a staggering contrast between what could have been and what happened. No, I do not think very highly of Kerry. He is a politician who disappoints me in many ways. But Bush? I will say the fucker's name for this one post, Bush is such a mentally deranged, small-brained, vicious little prick! How could it be?
Time to end this rant. Thanks for listening.
Is there anything good to this story?
Well, as I said, I came home to my kids. That was good.
