Have People in the Blue States Noticed?
Have you been noticing the Red State Republicans buying up businesses, buying homes and proselytizing their zealotry in your work places. Have you noticed how conveniently they have been relocating to our Blue States? I have...

It's time we buy up businesses and force these fuckers out. They are here for one objective, and one objective alone. And yes... these folks are stupid but mean assholes to boot.

1. Sorry, but I don't buy the red state/blue state thing
We're not in high school, and are not opposing football teams. All the states are filled with many different types of people. I think we're a purple country.

And with the coup taking place here in CA, we won't be "blue" much longer, but that wont't change many peoples minds here.

2. Sorry, I buy it -- even though some states are purple
I do buy that the herd would try to move to purple states to make them red. THEY'RE FASCISTS, remember?

4. Their side acts EXACTLY like it is a football game
That's why they revert to high school gestures like purple fingers and purple Band-aids. They want to win at all costs and are never critical of Bush as long as they "win" on an issue. I put nothing past them.

5. "red state/blue state thing" is not for Sale
And yes we aren't in "High School" as you so condescendingly put it. But there have been signs of a concerted effort by the "Right" to get a foot hold here in my Blue State. It's politics, but of late it's been a little more aggressively attempted. Just hang out in a local political forum. You learn a lot.

7. "Our mission is to change New England"...evangelicals target NH
http://www.theunionleader.com/articles_showa.html?artic...

<snip>
People haven't given up on God. They just gave up on the institution that was trying to be God to them," added Johnsick, 41, a former Roman Catholic who lives in Mont Vernon.

Not just New Hampshire, but New England in general — long known in clerical circles as the land of the "chosen frozen" — is seen by evangelicals as one of one of the most fertile missionary fields in the country.

Evangelical Protestants — some with financial backing from independent churches in the Midwest and South — are training their sights here in hopes of spreading Christ's message to New Hampshire's large number of non-church goers and its new ethnic and immigrant groups.

"The Northeast is the greatest mission field in the United States," said Pastor Frank Reynolds of Manchester Christian Church.

"Our mission is to change New England by turning ordinary people into extraordinary followers of Christ," added Reynolds, 55, a Virginia native who came here in 1980.

3. I buy into it for sure, in NC they would kill all liberals if they could
Edited on Sat Feb-05-05 12:24 PM by GetTheRightVote
mean and evil people in the south for sure, I do not like it here anymore and looking to get out. The church going public is not very open to anyone not like them, very scary down here, very dark red, as in blood red. The civil war continues today.

6. It's not that simple, sorry
There are no red states or blue states. Each is comprised by millions of diverse backgrounds.

However, there definately is carpetbagging going on.

Keyes from Maryland moved to Illinois to run for Senator agains Obama.

Ron Crew, head of a fundamentalist sect, moved from Alabama to Massachusetts to run against Rep. Jim McGovern (3CD). McGovern won by >40%.

Joe Corsi, Swiftboat Asshole, will be moving from New Jersey to Massachusetts to run against John Kerry (see thread in Mass forum).

Let's focus on individuals and what we can do locally, not on fractionalization.

11. Isn't it John Corsi? And really, good luck with that.
I agree that red state/blue state is BS intended to keep us at each others' throats.

That said, John Corsi is a joke. He is out of his mind if he thinks he can escape the freeper bullshit he posted.

I hope they nominate him. It would be the smartest move they made since nominating Alan Keyes.

Dumbasses.

8. The GOP is like a slow moving tank
The dont operate on the blitzkrieg mentality. They are willful, determined plodders who insert themselves step by step, so slowly that its almost unnoticeable. They are good at spotting weaknesses and vulnerabilities, and ruthlessly take advantage of them.

9. You are most correct. "Christian Coalition" started in the 1980's
I believe it was in the 80's at least, anyhow they had a master plan.

10. Why would anyone move to vote whey they can steal an election.
Are they moving into position to make it easier for them to set up the theft?

15. Why? Mobilization
Edited on Sat Feb-05-05 01:01 PM by stepnw1f
They still need grassroots. Not as much as we do, due to Money, Church and MSM. all we have is each other. It does not hurt to be aware of what the other side might be doing. I notice it and have worked with a couple "Born Again" Right wingers.

I was able to gain a little info from them. All I can say is... it's real in MA, NH, and Maine.

18. Red State types have been moving to Minnesota for years
I keep hoping for some really cold old-fashioned Minnesota winters where there's three feet of snow on the ground and it's below zero for weeks at a time, anything to drive those suburban Texans out, but no such luck. It was 53 degrees today.
