Seattle - Anti-war group wants military recruiters off of college campus.

A month ago, an anti-war group chased a group of military recruiters off the campus of Seattle Central Community College. Now the same group wants to keep the recruiters off the campus for good.

Florida yesterday on C-span call for legislation that would allow military recuiters guaranteed access to college campuses. She called it "shameful" that some didn't welcome them with open arms.

Seems to me the military is much in the news these days, and that anyone with an interest in enlisting will figure out how to do it.

we once set up a mock mafia recruitment table when the army recruiter came to campus during the Vietnam war . We thought we'd present some real competition, better money, close contact with victims etc.
It amazes me now that we were not told to shut it down.

If the anti-war students were on watch during 9/11, they'd have probably chased off the terrorists too!

Don't make the mistake of thinking that because someone is armed they are the tougher person.

Doesnt the school advise the students or student organizations ahead of time that Military recruiters will be there? Dont they seek the student input at all?
