What happens after Rupert Murdoch dies?
Lachlan Murdoch is Rupert Murdoch's son. All indications are he will control the News Corporation which includes Fox, FoxNews, Sun, NY Post, Liberty Media, England's Times, DirecTV, etc.

What does Lachlan see for the future of journalism? Is there a brighter day after his father dies?

Take a look at the transcript of his 2003 speech in Australia to a gathering of journalists. (ABC link)

He says he sees "no disparity" between a Nobel Prizewinning book and "Dude, Where's My Car".

It's all about profit. "At News our three fundamental beliefs - the good use of profit, the importance of international diversity, and the dangers of elitism - are what drive the value, in my opinion, of all modern media providers."

So can we expect a change in our media rulers when the 73 year old Rupert Murdoch cedes control? It doesn't look like it.

Ding dong! Murdoch's dead. Ding dong! the wicked man is dead.
Wake up - sleepy head, rub your eyes, get out of bed.
Wake up, the wicked man is dead.

he’s gone where the goblins go,
Below - below - below. yo-ho,
Let’s open up and sing and ring the bells out.
Ding dong’ the merry-oh, sing it high, sing it low.
Let them know
The wicked Murdoch's dead!

9. Rupert Murdoch died already.
He died somewhere in Eastern Europe in the 1400's. Sleeps with soil from the homeland and everything, I believe.
