"We brought freedom to Iraq"... "Iran is an imminent threat"...LET'S ROLL!
While the zombified Americans wave their little flags, the rest of the world stare wide-eyed, mouths agape, seemingly unable to do anything but watch the nightmare unfold.

1. There it is
That's why I think we will pull out of Iraq (with the exception of a base or two). Bush needs the troops to go into Iran.

2. I don't think a full-out invasion of Iran is possible.

Iran has at least twice the population of Iraq, and has a fully-functioning military apparatus.

It's one thing to kick over a tin-pot dictator like Saddam, but the Mullahs of Iran haven't been sitting on their duffs all this time.

3. True, but stopping at Iraq doesn't doesn't seem likely given the
the blueprints and the rhetoric. It will be interesting, and horrifying, to see their next play.

4. I think Venezuela is next, not Iran.
At least, that's what Chavez keeps saying.

Chavez might be a bit paranoid, but so would I if the US funded a coup to have me killed.

5. Before Venezuela we will "do" Cuba so we have a launch pad
I think you are quite correct in thinking that Venezuela is on the horizon but a few will come first. It is about fear. That is what they are attempting. They are trying to make these countries so afraid of us that they will do whatever we wish just so we won't attack them. To accomplish that goal they must overpower a few small helpless countries like Iraq and Cuba to set the stage.

7. We already have a launch pads.

Puerto Rico and Grenada are much closer.

Plus, thanks to the US kidnapping of Aristide, Haiti is back in the clutches of the plutocrats.

6. ???????
If what you say is true, then why would the US pull out of Iraq, which shares a border with Iran?

The only other countries that share a border with Iran are Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, and Turkey.

So my question would be, where exactly would the US invade from, if not from Iraq, then the only logical place to stage an invasion would be Afghanistan.
