exhibited in the smithsonian as late as 1996. where the actual pieces of enola gay are is confusing. there is an in tact b29 with the name enola gay siting in a park near the entrance to pease afb., just outside of portsmouth. the 509th original home of the b29 that delivered the little boy moved from the roswell afb to pease afb in the 50's

Just curious, but are there any homophobes who are, or, have ever, petitioned to get the name changed? :+

9. Are you sure it's sitting benignly?
Might it be sitting ominously or reclining gayly or standing majestically? And smiling? Boy, I'd love a picture of that.

As long as it makes children happy, it's OK with me.

10. The Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum
today (Aug. 18) unveiled the newly reassembled Enola Gay , the Boeing B-29 Superfortress used to drop the first atomic bomb in combat. The airplane, which received the most extensive restoration in the museum's history, will be on display at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, the museum's new companion facility in Northern Virginia, which opens to the public Dec. 15.

Restoration work on the Enola Gay began in 1984 and involved a total of some 300,000 staff hours.

12. Newsflash!!!!!
Virginia annexes New Hampshire and Maine!!!!

"...the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, the museum's new companion facility in Northern Virginia..."

I agree, this is getting a bit silly and is more "lounge-worthy".
