When it's all over, some will ask, "Why didn't anyone stop them"?
Those 'some' being bush zombies who overlook atrocities like torture and wars of aggression and robbing the treasury and tyranny and treason.

After the damage has been done and all hell has broken loose, THEN the terrible whining and lamenting will begin. And some idiot whose brain has been turned to jelly by rush limbaugh will inevitably ask the question. To which there is no answer, other than the ones given by the Germans under Hitler.

How could we have let them get away with it? Only about a dozen or so maniacs, led us all like we had rings in our noses to the slaughterhouses, and hijacked every decent thing about America and turned it to shit. Why didn't anyone stop them?

Of course, by then it will be far too late.

1. the answer will be
that not enough citizens opposed them... or more precisely, enough citizens supported them.

Whether or not you believe he won either election (and I believe he lost both) he came close enough to winning that it can be fairly said that approximately half of Americans supported him.

The problem is America.

2. "At long last, Senator, have you no shame?"
Secretary of the Army Robert Welch to Joe McCarthy at the House Un-American Committees hearings: "At long last
Senator, have you no shame?" has been bouncing around in my head for the last three years.

Nothing like that will happen this time. Sorry, I'm an optimist ideally, but a pessimist in practice. It should have happened by now, if it was going to happen at all. But I have been proven wrong before (not very often, though).

6. As I think about what could come in the future of this nation
I also reflect on what happened in places like Germany and Rwanda and wonder just what were peoples thoughts as they knew there was no stopping this mad man and the regime he is leading head on into a train wreck with history.
We have the history of those genocides still fresh in our memory yet we are still not powerful enough to stop him. Not with half of the nation following along as blindly as they are.
GOD help us while you can!

7. The media is to blame. Until we penalize those who censored

the news, this kind of thing will happen again. That's why I think the Bush Administration backed off on the request to expand media ownership. They see the backlash coming because of the pundit scandal.

8. bingo...
Where do you turn for the truth?

I know many people who won't believe anything other than the msm because of issues of credibility. (I know that the msm has issues of credibility), but many people believe that if the New York Times or Washington Post isn't covering it, it's not true.

It's hard to look at everything you read with skepticism. People want to feel they can trust the news. They believe that it's there to tell us the truth, what government doesn't want us to know, not government propaganda. The msm do a good job, too, of being just critical enough to be credible...

I can't tell you how many times I've heard, "Why didn't I hear about that on the news?" I think that it is a valid question...

9. 12345 nails it!
The corollary to your question (Why didn't I hear that on the news?) is the really deadly thing about the Murkin Media: "If it's important, it will be on the news."

That assumption has literally permitted bu$h to get away with murder. WELCOME to DU!

10. One of the reasons why it's impossible to convince the people on
voter fraud is because the MSM has only reported it peripherally. It's not something that was directly investigated by them. More like they're reporting it as if it's a conspiracy theory from the blogs and a few disgruntled minority congressmen.
