Dick Durbin is such a badass
He's making some great comments on the floor. He's using his trademark approach of taring apart the Republicans (and the Wall Street Journal) with a witty comment and a smile.

2. Damn! I hardly have time to waste on blogs
for all the congratulatory email I'm sending to Senators. Looks like Democratic balls may be back in fashion.

3. Proud to be an Illinoisian!
We got Durbin, Obama, Studs Turkel, the Haymarket Riot, etc.

4. I used to hate Durbin.
I was a freshman in HS in 1988. We had a mock election that year, and several politians came to speak to us. All Durbin did was talk about football ("How 'bout them Bears?") and it irritated me to death. VERY patronizing. I swore that he'd never get a vote from me, but then I grew up and put it into perspective. Now I'm proud that he's my Senator!

7. Are the Dems developing spines?
It is a welcome situation.

No Dem should vote yes on Rice or Gonzales!

9. some Dems are FINALLY finding their voices. The more this happens
the more they will realize the GOP can't do a damn thing about it, at least the facts come out and at least they aren't kissing up to the GOP and another perspective is being offered to the American voter.
