Did one yield the other? Did "Passion" do for Republicans what "Fahrenheit" was supposed to do for the Dems?

1. I don't think so.
I know plenty of people who liked Passion and still voted for Kerry because they can't stand Bush.

4. I heard the rethugs on
local talk radio this morning bemoaning the fact that Passion didn't get a nod from the Academy. Of course, the cause was blatant religious persecution pure and simple. And donchaknow that the Jewish members of the Academy just flat out refused to see the movie according to them.

Anyone know if that is true?
