3. Hmmm
I am not sure what he said, the preview ended after he walked out. It was probably something stupid like love it or leave it.

13. Nah, it said he stomped out
Were he forced to remain in the room, he'd poke his fingers in his ears and go "LALALALA!! I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!" Were cameras not there, he'd probably resort to violence.

They really can't stand the truth. Roaches always run from the light.

4. Yeah, but she's wrong. A majority of time U.S. attacks first.
Let's see:WWI, WWII (only Japan attacked us, not Germany and Italy), Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War, etc.

And how many of them were started by Democratic presidents?

5. Haven't found truth yet I see
Germany declared War on us before we entered WW2. Vietnam started as a French operation

Korea started because N. Korea breached the 38th parallel, and Iraq because Saddam invaded Kuwait.
Iraq and Korea were for the most part UN operations, IIRC.

Better luck next time.

6. Add to that Germany and Japan were allies
Edited on Mon Jan-24-05 07:22 PM by CatWoman
Japan attacked us first, and the country still didn't want to enter the war. Germany had Japan's back and declared war on us.

We had been sending people into Vietnam to help with the war effort and discourage the spread of communism since Eisenhower (Republican).

And even tho Iraq didn't attack us in the Gulf War, that war was waged by a Republican president (Bush 1).

want to add, re: WW1:

The United States Enter the War

At the start of the war, President Wilson had declard the neutrality of the United States. Most Americans opposed US involvement in the European war. But the sinking of the Lusitania and other German actions against civilians drew America sympathies to the Allies. German military leaders believed that they could still win the war by cutting off British supplies. They expected their U-boats to starve Britian into surrendering within a few months, longer before the US had fully prepared for war. Tension between the US and Germany increased after the British intercepted and decoded a message from Germany's foreign minister, Arthur Zimmermann, the German ambassador to Mexico. The message known as the "Zimmermann note", revealed a German plot to persuade Mexico to go to war against the United States. The British gave the message to Wilson, and it was published in the US early in March. Americans were further enraged after U-boats sank several US cargo ships.

11. I agree, I didn't say all of these were started by Democrats..
The point is both parties start wars. Yes, you could say we were attacked in WWI by the sinking of the ships. But when you look at how inconsistent the U.S. foreign policy is and our willingness to go to war, it's just maddening.

9. It's still the truth. We weren't attacked first.
Just because it's a U.N. operation doesn't negate the fact we weren't attacked first.

Yes, Germany declared war on us during WWII at the same time Japan attacked us. But Germany never ATTACKED us. Vietnam was a French operation initially...so WHAT? Iraq wasn't a U.N. operation.

It's scary, but most wars the U.S. has been involved in had nothing to do with the U.S. being attacked.

I can be sarcastic as well and state, keep sticking your head in the sand.

16. Also Eisenhower was the first to send military advisors
to Vietnam. It was 1954.

When did Ike turn Democrat? I missed that one.

to get his facts straight before he speaks (wonder if he's a big Bush supporter and thinks we should be in this illegal war)

Bob Dole called World War II a "Democrat war" in the 1976 vice-presidential debate. And I think he's a major asshole.

21. If Republicans instead of Democrats were in power during World War II
they would have had America support Hitler's conquest and partnered up with them like Japan did. Imho.

8. Unfortunately she's a loon...........
I saw the show they had on last week and that lady is a serious control freak. Her husband and kids act like they are walking on eggshells in their own home. Very sad and I don't think it helps our cause when they highlight people that act like she does.

17. I want to know where these families are located. Is one in MN?
I'm asking because I heard on the radio that on either an upcoming episode or one that had just aired (and I never could find out anything firm on this point) one of the families is in MN and one is in TN (my area) and that the woman from MN had some rather unflattering remarks about this area. Imagine that.

20. I watched last week
the woman from MN was crying and calling people from TN hillbillies before she even got on the plane. So were her children. She has some serious mental issues I think. She runs her home like Pelican Bay (a max security prison in Ca.) her kids are terrified of her. This show always pick families that are very different from each other and I must admit it's the trashiest show I watch, but I'm hooked. You should have seen the ones with the gator lady. it was great.

22. I just got off of the phone with a friend who TIVO'd this program
and she said that it was very contrived to make the woman from MN appear to be the wicked witch and that the woman from TN was just as sweet as she could be, etc. I only know what she told me as I haven't seen it yet.
