I remember reading her blog early on, she sounded so full of hope and bubbly. Slowly but surely her writings have taken on a bleaker and more resigned tone. I can't imagine living under her circumstances, the chronic insecurity, the lack of food, water, electricity, fuel for generators...
We sent a big check to CodePink for the Fallujah charity - the one where parents of soldiers killed in Iraq and families of 9/11 victims took the donated supplies over to deliver them? Is there anything else concrete that we can actually do to try to make a difference? Obviously attempts at regime change in the USA failed on Nov 2nd, so now what? How can we HELP the people in Iraq and Afghanistan?
