Not my country anymore...
I've been saying that for about 6 years now... since the hardcore whackjobs took over this country.

Question: At what point is our country no longer worth trying to take back from these assholes? If our environment is fucked, the economy tanks, if we've alienated our allies and half the world is gunning for us.... who wants it back at that point? They fucked our country... let them deal with the mess.

Smart Jews left Germany in the 30's... maybe it's time to let the shitheads have what's left, cut our losses, and go elsewhere. Shit, who'd have us?

Damn, I'm depressed!

1. Oh Canada!
As a gay man, I'm scared. A large percentage of the country already wants the civil rights of Muslims taken away. They're already going after the rights of women and gays. Who's next? What's the next step?

5. i plan to go to japan if i can.
i have my own plan on what to do when i get there. part of it is to provide a haven for those i love, and the other is to 'preach gospel' to the japanese to 'save us.' you can do more than just run away when in a foreign country...

6. I'm going to stay and fight
I'm staying on the odd chance that we can win the fight. Also the hardcore wackjobs want us to leave so I won't just to spite them. Hey, if I end up in a bad way, I end up in a bad way. At least I can live with myself.

10. Trouble is, the environmental issues will follow us everywhere, as will
th threat of nuclear war. As much as I would love to head to Canada or Europe, I think we owe it to the world to wrest power from these nutjobs.

11. Time to bail from this sinking ship.
I could stay and fight but that wouldn't bother the Reich Wingers one bit because as long as I'm here, I'm paying taxes and that's all they care about. They could give a rat's ass about anything else. I don't want to support this fascist government by paying taxes so the best option for me is to leave. Canada isn't looking so cold after all. ;)
