7. I think about this too. At what point would I leave. I think Boosh will
"ask more" of our military. I think it's a race to the bottom. Pretty soon there will be another terrorist attack in the U.S., maybe a dirty bomb in Boston with Iranian finger prints, and then there will be a draft. I wouldn't blame you for wanting out, but please stay and fight. Anyone who cares enough to post on DU is someone who cares enough to be informed. We are too few. I, we, need your body here, in the streets with a loud voice.
I wonder what can any one of us do against such wreckless hate and godlessness, and then I see the amazing crowds of people that gather to express outrage and protest. The crowds are made of individuals, of people who choose to fight.

10. Good answer
The ghouls were after my son from the middle of his senior year until about 6 months ago (he's 20 now). I finally told all of the recruiters one by one that my son was gay and that they should write that down next to his name.

They quit calling.

4. Don't leave...fight it!
Bombard every elected official on the hill with e-mails and letters if nothing else.

Remember Pinky and the Brain? (Odd little cartoon)...

What are we going to do tonight Brain?
The same thing we do every night, Pinky...Try to take over the world!

Can you hear this conversation between Bush and Cheney?

5. Not sure but...
thankfully I have family in England.

With that said, do you (when I say "you" I mean all of you) think the UK will be safe enough?

Seeing as how my wife is an "alien resident" I doubt she could ever be in line to be drafted. Plus, neither my wife nor I are of draft age.

Whatever your case my be, definitely have a contingency plan.

Hell, I'll burn my draft card right in front of Bush's face if I have the chance to!

8. Pretty good reason
Especially seeing that both China and Russia are backing Iran.

More subtly, Japan and the European Community are doing so as well.

It seems that Cheney would prefer that Israel do the dirty work of bombing Iran, but I don't see that working out either...for one reason, it would be easy for most of the world to impose a complete boycott against Israel, destroying it's already fragile economy. And their bombers would probably be shot down over Iran...if they even made it that far.

9. Wow, refugees from America...
that will be a change from all the refugees America has created over time (Vietnam, Afghnaistan in 1980's, Iraq now from Fallujah...)
