President Bush's Inaugural Address: Update: Despite unprecedented security and wintry weather, President Bush promised more than 300,000 attending his second inauguration that he would focus on the spread of liberty abroad and the defense of America at home in his final four years in office.

"We are led, by events and common sense, to one conclusion. The survival of liberty in our land increasingly depends on the success of liberty in other lands," the president said Thursday. "The best hope for peace in our world is the expansion of freedom in all the world."
