We've LOST the best,...of ourselves!!!
Edited on Mon Jan-10-05 08:58 PM by Just Me
We have become a "club" that is primarily persecutory instead of "liberals" and/or "progressives" that EMBRACE and SUPPORT the BEST of ourselves.

The right-wing has diseased us!!!

Face it!!!

Feel it!!!

Free it!!!

Grow!!!

1. In what way are you looking for us to grow?

Save this nation one town, county, and state at a time!

2. I'd visit the 700 club web site if I wanted to be preached to.
Don't discount the movement. We worked very hard for 2 years and it didn't happen for us.

Just give us a rest dude...fuckin a!

4. Ew. ouch. I'm NOT a dude,...thank you very much.
Why don't you DEFINE what you are fighting for, specifically.

Name the top three "values" you fought for, are fighting for.

7. Fighting for?
It used to be I was fighting for:

1) Universal health care for those under 18
2) Alternative fuel sources
3) More education spending

Now I just seem to be fending off:

1) The war in Iraq
2) The loss of freedom from the Patriot Act
3) Outsourcing of American jobs

and the list goes on.

Listen, you sound frustrated, I understand, but you aren't going to mobilize a defeated group until the morale has been raised and change can be seen in the horizon. This will happen next year for the 2006 congressional elections.

As for now...we rest...save up our energy. There is a huge fight in front of us.

Be patient young padowan.

10. I am, *ahem* mature. I see NO effective "mobilization".
Do YOU?

We can't even GET ON POINT (too freakin' busy with our own agendas and condemning one another, I guess).

Are we PULLING together for a common cause?

NOT!!!

11. I saw a huge effort behind Kerry, I saw a massive effort against the war
I marched, I called, I pounded the pavement and you know what? There were a ton of people right there with me.

I know you feel as if we're fragmented, but you're listening to the nay sayers who say that the liberal age is over. They're wrong.

If you keep believing that the democratic party is doomed then it will buckle.

We are a party of rational thinkers who believe that we don't need to all believe in one thing, all we have to do is believe that a compromise can be achieved under the wise words of the constitution.

The last thing we need to do is become as fanatical as our oppressors.

Common sense will reign again. You just watch. Trust in America to change at zero hour, but trust America to change.

I'm taking off. Nice talking to you. If you want to respond I'll check tomorrow.

8. Unraveling "code". We are engaged in "destroying" the best,...
,...of those who, notwithstanding their human imperfections, DO ADVOCATE OUR FUNDAMENTAL POSITIONS.

WTF is wrong with us,...engaging in a RW character-assasination of anyone who fails to PERFECTLY serve us?

HOW MUCH ENERGY DO WE SPEND ADVOCATING THE BEST rather than beating the shit out of the worst moments of any human being.

If we are gonna do a "seek-n-destroy" NUCLEAR thingy,...shouldn't we be aiming our energies AT THE ENEMIES OF DEMOCRACY rather than countless, disgusting threads on those who at least bend towards our common cause? And, I be quite frank with you, the "destroy Kerry" threads pissed me off to absolute no end,...I wondered, "What the FUCK is wrong with these people,...are they RIGHT-WING PLANTS or WHAT?"

5. A good example of the results of persecutory policy is the right.
Look at me use persecutory accusation.

You are right, and what we need is to use what is our best to get a positive message out about what America could be like!

We will show forgiveness as people discover they have been lied to. That is what we are made of!

6. "We"???? I don't recall asking you to speak for me.
Edited on Mon Jan-10-05 08:40 PM by scarletwoman
A more honest way to offer your point of view would be to declare that you perceive defeatism and self-involvment. It is poor form to presume to speak for others.

I wouldn't say the maggot neocons have deseased us here but they have created a sickness .The only way we can find a cure is to stop bickering with each other and stop this crap before thier little armagedon does take place.
