Anyone else listening to Randi Rhodes?
She just got a good dig on Franken....
she was talking about how we could have done it yesterday, and that she knows she's pissing off the Democratic party, but she doesn't care...she said "I know some people take their money, but I dont!"

You go Randi!

3. Okay, here's the rumor
Edited on Fri Jan-07-05 07:03 PM by DanaM
Randi said on her show a few weeks ago that the DNC offered money to her and Ed Schultz and Ed took it. She was speaking angrily about him because he was supposed to protect Daschle from losing the SD sen seat.

5. Randi has a grudge against Ed Schultz
She basically feels he's a con in liberal's clothing; that he basically saw the coming left-wing radio wave and jumped on. I guess he's also acted badly towards Randi in the past. She's been this way since before Air America came to be.

7. Randi seems to have a LOT of personal beefs
She digs at Janeane
She digs at Al
Now it's ED..

I wish she would just take more calls, and concentrate on the big picture instead of her own likes and dislikes :)

8. I agree, SoCalDem...
She gets on my nerves sometimes... especially when she talks louder and louder, screaming over a guest's voice, to make sure her point gets heard. That behavior is just a bit too freeperish for my taste.

(Just my humble opinion...)

9. agreed, i like her show but sometimes the score settling
reminds me of O"reilly whining every night about how the left is out to get him. Not that she's like O'Reilly but i think it's a good comparison.

10. She and Janeane are friends. I like her very much.
If it is true about Ed Schultz, then he should be ashamed. And Al Franken fights for nothing anymore.

17. She also admitted, when Franken went to Iraq, that they really
were friends. She just enjoys ribbing him she said.

12. I would disagree
while emotionally it does irritate me sometimes... OK, a lot of times... it is her personality, her anger that so attracts people who are not politically inclined to start listening to AA, and thus become activist-minded.

Her faults, her stories about her life, friends, family, likes and dislikes, her off-point tangents make her human, accessible and arguably the best single recruiter the left has.

but i'm still in the dark. I love Randi, but if she's gonna fling stuff like that around, she should back it up.

14. Absolutely not true!
Edited on Fri Jan-07-05 08:12 PM by BeachBuckeye
The DNC is prohibited by law from giving money to radio programs. It was Democracy Radio Inc. that caused the problem. Lets face it, Randi, a proven liberal and proven professional broadcaster deserved to be seated at the table first ahead of anyone in the frozen north who was an avowed conservative until a money making opportunity presented itself. Odd how a dollar can cause one to change one's stripes. Randi knows it is a fact and so do I.

20. There are no AAR people listed at the site you mention.
Do they pay for what they want on the air? So how does that make us different from Armstrong Williams? Will AAR be doing this as well?
If they pay individuals like that, it concerns. Not familiar with this group. Here is the link.
