what's with all the orange?
Someone at work asked me why so many of the Dems are wearing orange today (both in the office and on c-span). I told her that it was a symbol of protesting election fraud, similar to what people did in response to the Ukrainian election fraud. But I don't actually know if that is true. So can someone tell me if my guess was correct?

2. nah
Orange sticks out more than blue. It will be crossing the lips of many people, because orange is such a vibrant color!

5. In 2001, just before the Inauguration, I noticed a bunch of orange tape...
On Heights Boulevard. This is the kind of tape used to mark trees to be saved during construction projects. I was surprised that so much construction was scheduled in an area known for preservation.

Then I saw the tape was everywhere. Around every tree, large & small. And threaded through several fences. For blocks, all you could see was orange.

Then, I got it.

I suspect the owners of a house on the boulevard. Christmas 2003, they used their lights to create an enormous peace symbol on the front porch. It's still there--still lit up.
