10. Thank you! She was such an intelligent and beautiful woman. Too Bad
the DNC couldn't see fit to have a tribute.

That is why if the DNC don't get their shit together us Black folk are gonna leave their sorry ass.

36. There is a statement by Terry McAuliffe
http://www.democrats.org/news/200501030002.html

Jan 3, 2005
Statement By DNC Chairman Terry McAuliffe On the Death of Shirley Chisholm

Washington DC - DNC Chairman Terry McAuliffe issued the following statement on the death of former Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm.

"Democrats across the country today mourn the loss of a true trailblazer, Shirley Chisholm. While she will be forever remembered for a career of firsts, Shirley Chisholm did much more than pave the way; she inspired countless others to knock down the barriers to equality. Her roots were in education and the lessons from her life will resonate for generations to come."

Well, not ON me, but very, very, very, very close. Very close indeed. Preferrably unfettered, but I won't be that choosey. ;-)

But remember what one wonderful woman said about bush senior? Her courage lost her the governor's office and set the present bush onto his path of endless power. We will keep pushing anyway.

There are about 95 men in the senate, some with decades in office, and none had the nuts to stand up to the bushies? I think it's shameful and discustiing.

OVARIES!

They are much less vulnerable to silly attacks on our pride, and less vulnerable to physical abuse than the average testicle.

22. Gloat all you want, but she...
is only doing what she was elected to do, her job.

Now the question is: will her actions inspire the other elected officials to do theirs? I think not.

I am so disillusioned at the whole mess.

No elected official does what the people want anymore.

It's a sad day in America when we jump up and down with happiness when someone in washington does their job.

Frankly, I'm sad that she's the only voice. I will be impressed if someone sides with her.

30. It is rather amazing that we put so much energy into our gladness that
someone is doing the right thing, when that should be the norm and the rest of their shenanigans should be the exception. Such a sad state we are in.

It should not surprise ANYONE that it was WOMEN who stood up to this fraud! Women are the most disenfranchised group. Seems to me, the our "sisters" have had their fill! Good for them!!! I am VERY proud today!! I am not a woman, but I still take much pride that they have the OVARIES to stand up and be heard!!!!
