There is a bit of rancor in the discussion (it's fairly voluminous), but it's still thoughtful and erudite. Nothing like it would ever appear on the far-right-wingnut boards. Without making any judgment of who "won", I just think it's illustrative of the intelligence that can be found hereabouts. But intelligent disagreement is what distinguishes us from the dittoheads and their venues where everyone is expected to be in total agreement. I salute ...uh, us. :D

I would really like to see Skinner and Team do a survey of DUers' level of education. I am always pleasantly surprised to see PhD's, Doctorates in Law (J.D.s), Medical Doctors (M.D.s), professors of various disciplines, etc.

I really enjoy it.
