Media going into high gear reving up spin machine to "Save Rummy"
In the last couple of hours there have been many opinions/editorials all in support of Rumsfeld. Makes one believe there must have been a WH directive issued to the so called liberal media.

Grassley: Don't pick on Rumsfeld

Trent Lott: Criticism could hurt Military Bases

Rumsfeld bashing is off base. It is time to 'get real'

Leave Rumsfeld Alone!

4. the whole thing is phony in the first place
I don't see any real reason for this outcry against Rummy to be happening now, any more than it was years ago, when he was just as obviously bad but was being celebrated.

I'm with Carl Levin, who said Sunday that it all goes back to policy, which is not made by Rumsfeld, but by Bush.

7. I think the last site pretty well sums it up. . .
"Rummy deserves our respect," says the website useless-knowledge.com.

(Sorry, haven't actually read the article -- got better things to do in the remaining years of my life.)

10. Rummy isnt going anywhere, he's got the goods on Bush and Cheney

They're showing him all sad right now. Its pretty ridiculous. He's trying to garner sympathy. He's even banging on the 9-11 drum! Everytime I hear any of them use 9-11, I get pissed. All those 9-11 families have been waiting for answers to thier questions for years.

11. Why would they get rid of Crummy? It's not like any of this is about
America's security or the safety of Americans. It's not about the "threats" in Iraq or the liberation of the the Iraqis. It's not about terrorism or terrorists...

it's about the money honey and the power it brings....it's about the coin of oil and leverage it buys..it's about contracts for new toys of destruction and milking the coffers for war profits...it's about controling the masses so they can get away with it...

It's about stealing whatever you can while waving the banner of democracy.

Crummy is on board all the way with that...so he ain't going anywhere

Unless...he becomes a liability to their goals. Then he'll resign and move to another arm of the operation.

Has any of them ever truly gone away? We saw them all together during Iran-Contra and they are all together again. Hell, they've been around since Nixon...and before...and they keep coming back up.
