I talked to a Japanese friend of mine--older lady--last night and found that she was terribly worried because the Japanese consulate had sent out an email warning its citizens to stay away from oil refineries and storage facilities over the holidays. It struck me as rather odd because there's been such an absence of terror alerts on our news lately.
1. The Japanese Consulate warns Japanese about EVERYTHING, ALWAYS.
My wife is Japanese, and they are ALWAYS sending out a warning of some danger or other, even before September 11. They tend to be a lot more skittish about even very vague "threats". I wouldn't make too much of it.
I don't think it will be a terrorist attack from outside the US. It will be from the inside. I think we're going to have a depression. What you see know is the last gasp of breath from a dying economy. It's been plundered and ripped off to the point of nothing left but the marrow in the backbones. And now the play is for those last little tid bits.
