Concerning the debate
I must say.....today left me proud to be
a Democrat.

I think ALL did very well....even JL was
somewhat appealing.

I'm getting more and more convinced that
whoever the nominee is.....that bush is
in trouble.

Glad I watched.

1. I disagree with you on JL...
He was the only one to really attack one of the other candidates. And Dean just knocked him out of the ballpark with his response. Lieberman had no where to go with it.

3. LIEberman attacked him on his position
on Trade... Accused him of saying he would cut off all trade with countries who didn't meet US labor and environmental standards. He said that that was just wrong and that America couldn't expand blah blah blah... I started getting all steamed at that point. (that was when he got booed, too) Dean very calmly reiterated his stance from the previous statement, that he wanted agreements that met international labor and environmental standards, and that he wanted to use pressure to gradually bring our trading partners onto those levels. What was impressive was that it was the smoothest he was all night. He didn't stammer, and he didn't lose his cool, and the people in the audience loved it.

5. I agreewith you completely
They made us all proud to be Democrats. To me Dean was more subdued than usual but did very well. I hate to admit but JL susrprised me--He really prepared well.Kery di very well and Gephrdt was surprisingly sharp and kept that sing song tquality of his voice under control. Edwards was no souch either. Even if she has no chance m-Braun certainly held her own and DK was DK--I cannot help but like him --has no chance. His gutsiness is fun.The Chattering Class drive me up a wall--they think Kerry has to knock Dean off or he is a failure. Thank God Kerry did as he did. This was their first big introduction to the public and especially the Hispanic Community--if they had been fighting each other it would have been terrible. We have plenty of time for them to take each other on.
Bill Clinton did not even enter the race until October. Bush is in trouble so the Chatterers have to find fault with Democrats.
