The Debate - I am so proud!
Yes, I am a Dean supporter, but I must say that I am so proud of the candidate we have speaking tonight. They have been WONDERFUL <except for JL>. He didn't get much applause and for good reason...attacking Dean and being "Bush Lite"...doesn't work....these people are too smart.

But all in all, the rest of the candidates were articulate, passionate, presented their plans cogently, and criticized * on ALL the right points, and were respectful (so far anyway) of each other. They stood on their own ground, with their own answers.

I would vote for any of them...well, except for JL. He is just SO last century...so out of touch.

Anyhow, congrats to all our Dem candidates!

the comments by DUers and it sounded like they all did well except for the puppetboy.

I hear he got booed!

Imagine that getting booed at a Democratic debate when you are supposedly a DEM!

:kick:

I'm feel like I'm going to burst with pride. I'm proud of every single one of our Dem candidates (hmm, even Lieberman, but not much ;) I feel the months of frustration and anger disappearing. No more lowering the bar for the idiot chimpinchief!

8. I agree
I was impressed with almost everyone tonight. Lieberman looked ridiculous when he went out of his way to attack Dean. And, I'm sad to say, I was disappointed with Kucinich's little "Hello!" quip. It got a laugh but didn't reflect well on him, in my opinion. I've been VERY impressed with Mosely-Braun this evening. I wish she was still the senator from Illinois so she would have more credibility as a candidate.

15. How impressive was Dean in the way he did or didn't respond to
the "attacks" on him? And did they have any merit? Thanks!

10. I'm very proud as well
even Gephardt made a good impression. As I said on another thread, I'd gladly vote for any of them, even Holy Joe (loyalty to my CT roots, I guess).

11. Can't agree more
All of the candidates had good points to make and I too was bursting with pride hearing them take on the Resident. I thought the line of the night, though, went to Mosley-Braun "like my late mother used to say 'I don't care whether you came on the Mayflower or a slave ship, we're all in the same boat now'.

16. I got actual chill bumps every time Kucinich spoke, but
They were all great. Kerry impressed me with his direct statements, Dean appeared thoughtful and reasonable and capable, Gephardt made me feel confident about his candidacy (for the first time) and Mosely-Braun made a lot of sense. I felt so emotional listening to this debate. I'm charged up.

18. I'm with you
I was much more impressed by Kerry tonight than I have been in the past. I'm still planning on voting for Dean, but would vote for any of them, excepth JL.
