1. I think it's related to AIDS Day
Edited on Tue Nov-30-04 11:21 PM by TSIAS
At least that's what it said when I clicked on properties.

I didn't think it was in December, though.

3. December 1st AIDS Day
I'm not sure of the formal wording, but tomorrow (Dec 1) is National AIDS Awareness/AIDS Day. Hence the ribbon.

6. World Aids Day commemorated globally on 1 December
World AIDS Day 2004

World AIDS Day is commemorated around the globe on 1 December. It celebrates progress made in the battle against the epidemic — and brings into focus remaining challenges.

http://www.unaids.org/en/events/world+aids+day+2004.asp

The World AIDS Campaign 2004 seeks to address the way women's inequality helps fuel the transmission of HIV and increases the impact of AIDS. Campaign posters have been developed to give a voice to women facing the challenges of gender inequality in the face of HIV and AIDS.

The campaign's slogan 'Have you heard me today?' calls for action against the inequalities that not only put women and girls at risk but whole communities. Posters and background materials are listed below.
