3. Rush Limbaugh's father was a trial lawyer who owned the radio station at which Rush got his first broadcasting job.

And now, my question:

Do you honestly believe that the above individuals (and their colleagues) understand everyday Americans, much less give a damn about them beyond using those people to advance a partisan political agenda?

The "official story" is that it was purely an accident. She ran a stop sign and plowed into someone crossing the interesection. However, there are a great many strange things about it that could lead to other conclusions. The common theory is that she was drunk, but the official police report states neither driver was drinking. However, no tests for this were performed.

The person she killed was Michael Douglas, one of her classmates and, some claim, a romantic interest of hers.

Snopes has an article on it confirming the story, but that is, in my view, a bit too slanted as a "better angels of our nature" kind of thing, i.e. underlining the pure accident theory.

Edit: They wouldn't give the same leeway to Kerry, however. I mentioned to them before the election that 9/11 happened during *'s term and, of course, they said he couldn't be blamed for that either. After all, we also claim Sam Houston (who was born in Tennessee), even if most of us don't claim Ignacio Zaragoza (The Mexican general who defeated the French in the 1862 Battle of Puebla against the French invaders). Zaragoza was born in what is present-day Goliad, Texas.

some people where his family was from, regardless of when he moved to Texas. When my husband and I moved into the rural outskirts of the small town in Louisiana where we now live (we have since moved from the outskirts into the small town), the first thing our neighbors said to us was "We don't have a lot of outsiders here." I am from PA and my husband is British. Of course, our neighbors were great neighbors and very nice, but we were still "outsiders."

In the end, these three are all about themselves. I don't think any of them actually give a shit about politics. They each developed a good rap and are now simply peddling it. They're performers, pure and simple. Court jesters, class clowns, if you will.

Last time I checked, your candidate (a certain senator from Massachutes) wasn't exactly hurt'n either. In fact, I think 8 of the top 10 richest senators are Democrats (ouchy!, as I take cover!)

..It's a non-sequitor and logically incoherent to then ask whether they "give a damn", when the only evidence you've given us can be turned around and used against not only many supporters of the Left (e.g. Trial Lawyers), but our friggn' presidential candidate as well. Keep in mind that Dean supporters used Kerry's background against him bigtime during the primary season.

I guess these types of posts, with incoherent logic just get to me, that's all.
