An American Milestone: MSNBC's Call to Genocide
On a widely-watched morning news show, the sidekick of the popular morning host called for the murder of all Israelis.

A couple of rights groups issued press releases, but other than that, there were no outcries of outrage in the media, on the internet, on the street. The press releases were resoundingly ignored.

The view expressed was so compliant with mainstream opinion that it made not a ripple?

How is such a thing possible? That in the United States, on a major cable network, an open call to genocide is issued, and left to stand, go unnoticed save for a couple of minor non-profits whose mission is essentially limited to sending out press releases when something is offensive to Israelis?

Unbelievable, huh?

1. Totally unbelievable, since the call was for the genocide of Palestineans.
Imus called for nuking Palestine, not Israel.

Were it even a scintilla of challenge to the Likud's genocidal policies, the anti semite police would be out in force.

4. No offense, but that link leads to...
...some annoying and persistent pop-up action in IE (not in Firefox). The article says it's from DuctTapeFatwa's blog, which in turn points to this article:

A quick glance shows that the call was for all Palestinians to be murdered on the "Imus in the Morning" show. Your post says it calls for the murder of Israelis.

Either is bad form.

5. Well, it's not as though he showed Janet's other teat.
I mean ... that'd really be something to be upset about, right? :eyes:

6. Sidekick of popular morning host or Imus? Israel or Palestine?
Big difference - Israel or Palestine to pinpoint their bigotry.
Little difference - for result of nuking.

You're in for something if you ain't seen five-day-a-week ongoing nationwide bigotry and character assassinations on the Imus in the Morning show.

His bosses and the stockholders probably think he's funny when he and all his sidekicks and guests dish it out.
