Thanks To All DU'ers
I’ve only been involved with this group for a few days. My friend turned me onto this site because he new I was so depressed after the elections. I couldn’t turn on my TV for weeks. Since I’ve been on, my depression is starting to dissipate because of all the positive comments, etc and just the discussions. In my 44 years (yes I’ve told my age now) I’ve never been this heavenly involved in an election since what happened in 2000 and I can’t believe it happened again. I still have nightmares at night and wake up crying because we have this ass in office again. With all the negative talk I do at home and on the phone to my friends about * I’m wondering if the NSA has me on a watch list somewhere. I can’t express enough how much I HATE this man in office. I’ve been out of work for two years with three boys, one in college (thank God) and my husband doesn’t make enough for us to survive, almost lost our house, (thank GOD for relatives to help out) its even put a big strain on our relationship. It’s so hard to find a job anywhere because there are so many of us out of work that I can’t even get a job as a waitress or sales clerk and now with him in office again I guess I’ll never get a job.

Sorry to depress some of you, but it helps when everyone of you are fighting the fight with me. Just a BIG THANK YOU for your positive reports. Even if we can’t change what happened in 2004, buy God with every breathe of my being I (we) will make damn sure it won’t happen in 2008.

Kudos to all!!!!

2. DU is really a life saver
in a country where the media is controlled by the right it's hard to make it through some days.

PS, I'm 44 too.

4. Welcome
:hi:

I've been here since shortly after the last debacle. It helps to know that there are like minded people all over the country.

Keep the faith.

7. One question they never seem to have to answer is...
Why do they continue to raise the retirement age when people 44 can't find jobs? What makes them think that someone 64, 74, or 84 is going to be able to find work? Unless they are planning labor camps.
