Let me say something to ANYONE who thinks that the government "needs to get involved" in "culture", which always means: "I am against promiscuous sex, abortion, drugs, gambling, explicit entertainment, homosexuality, and/or divorce, and I want something done for me about it."

(This is mostly directed at lurkers, obviously.)

Let me say one thing: YOU SUCK.

Not just because I personally HATE you for being a puritanical repressed closet perv who can only get off by not minding your own business.

YOU SUCK because your churches, your advocacy groups, your well-funded initiatives ARE IMPOTENT in the face of CULTURE. What sells, sells, you fucking PUNK, and we ALL have to deal with this reality. Your sniveling public expressions of faith offend MY sensibility, but I don't write to my congressman to get your church shut down. If your message was ANYWHERE NEAR as compelling as the things you fight, you wouldn't have to go CRYING to the government to impose your PETTY LITTLE WILL on people WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT.

Go back to wherever you came from, you human scum, you cultural RAPIST. Don't go crying to MY government when your PRECIOUS BABY doesn't listen to you and runs off and does x, y, and z. You are a BAD PARENT. Pure and simple.

1. The IRONIC Thing is....

that these rightwing mofos love to worship "the market". But when it works too well (in the case of the popularity of porn, MTV, etc.) they decry it as "immoral" blah blah. These asswipes can't even stick with what they preach. They will get no audience with me.

Oh. And another thing. They claim they want less government but they sure want to regulate our "culture". An example: They want government to step in and deny women the opportunities to lead fulfilling lives that aren't necessarily barefoot and pregnant and in the kitchen. They want government to ban cultural things that aren't in conformation with their idea of "moral", "values", whatever. HYPOCRITES!
