About to donate to DU, need somebody to sponsor, say why you want a star

So my gold star is safe and sound for about a year anyway because I last donated on election day.

Tell me why you want a star. I'll donate in 2 hours and choose a respondent to this thread.

Others who have stars and are about to donate can use this thread to choose somebody to sponsor a gold star for.

9. I think this is a nice idea.
Many people can't donate on-line due to credit card boycotts.

I also wasn't able to send any money to the recount efforts because I'm Canadian.

I bought a couple of T-shirts from this site hoping to get a star so I could use the search function but didn't read the screen properly.

I Loved the t-shirts though. And my girlfriend often gets comments on hers while at work.


Anyway its nice that you were looking to hook up other DU'rs.

13. Please help me, if you can
It has been rough here for about 3 months. My hubby's business made some changes and we've been living on rice, macaroni, frozen veggies, etc. I am a long time member of DU but I just can't afford to donate this time, and wihtout donating, I can't post to "groups"...

Thanks in advance for any help..
